CPI Security Reviews

One of the first things you're likely to notice when you visit CPI Security is its generosity. Free installation, free devices to help keep your home safe, free customer support and more but whilst CPI offers good value for money, you need to read the small print to make sure you're getting exactly what you're getting.  

What exactly do we mean? Well one could easily believe that they receive free installation, free equipment and then only have to pay $29.95 a month for a 24/7 security monitoring service. However, this is only the case if you take out the Complete InTouch with Home Automation package, and the price then jumps up after three months.

If you're interested in a basic package then you need to pay $99 for installation, and if you are renting your home, rather than being the home owner, you'll incur an additional charge of $299. We assume this covers the removal of such devices, and any paperwork that needs to go with it, but it still seems a bit excessive. Quite a disappointment after having seen their initial offers.  

So, if you want to make the most of the discounts available from CPI then you'll want to take out the more expensive package options. Okay, enough moaning about somewhat misleading sales pitches; what is on offer here? The service itself looks pretty good, with real people monitoring its systems, and regional offices providing quick responses to any issues.

In fact they claim to have an average response of under 7 seconds, from when the alarm is tripped to their control centre being aware of what's going on. This is pretty quick, and timing can be everything when it comes to your safety. They've also invested heavily into their regional services, which shows they're not cutting corners.   

The site itself has some pleasant additions including video demos and some extra resources that you won't necessarily find elsewhere. That makes it a pretty useful website to revisit, particularly if you have minor malfunctions that can easily be solved.

CPI also provides home or business security, and the ability to monitor each from other locations, should you wish to check how things are.   

CPI Security seems to offer a fast and reliable security system, it's just a shame that its adverts over sell how cheap it is. It would be wise to check the actual cost of installation, maintenance, call outs and monthly fees before signing any kind of contract.
