ASG offers an affordable way to protect your home or business, with a range of wireless services to give control over to you.   Whilst ASG does offer home monitoring services, some of its most inspired and useful features are included in its wireless technologies. Your home can be fully automated, from cameras to temperature controls, lighting to electronic door locks. All of this can be pre-set or adapted to suit you on the move through your mobile device. This all adds up to much more than a home security system, but since security is what we have in mind in this review, here's what ASG has to offer...  

ASG Evolve is the main system which allows you wireless and interactive control over your home security. This comes with free installation, which includes the wireless communication. As with a number of home security sites, however, this is only available to home owners, rather than individuals who are renting a property.

Evolve allows you to remotely arm and disarm your alarm system, as well as receive text alerts and more. Of course this comes with its own risks. In particular, if someone was able to get hold of your cell phone then they potentially have control over your home alarm systems. There are security systems in place to prevent this, but it's worth considering if you're thinking about an automated home security package.  

Home alarm monitoring is big business, and this is also a service offered by ASGsecurity.com. If an alarm is tripped whilst you are out then you will quickly receive a call and then can request that local law authorities be sent to your address. This also extends to potential fire risks.  

Getting a real idea of how much a security system is really going to cost is not that simple. We were pleased to see that free installation came with some equipment, although you cannot secure your home on the free elements alone.

Upgrading to the cellphone apps costs an additional $9.95 a month, although if you take advantage of everything this has to offer then we feel it offers pretty good value. The site claims that its packages are tailored to your budget and needs, so there should be something to suit everyone's financial capabilities.   

ASG Security could certainly be worth checking out, particularly as they offer a guarantee and the ability to transfer your equipment and account, should you move home. Its free services and equipment are a big lure, but ultimately it may depend on giving them a call to discern what you can get for your money.
